Think about your current time....
If you were to divide up your current class time, What Would it Look Like?
The time you have with students is precious....make it awesome
If we are subscribing to the idea that out of class, students will be doing tasks associated with the lower end of Bloom's Taxonomy, then let's start to rethink how our current lessons can embrace this idea to change up our class time. Use this Google Sheet to get you started.

Decisions to Make - What kind of Flipped Teacher do you want to be?
The great thing about flipped learning is there are no hard and fast rules you have to follow you do what you do because it works for you AND your students.
The biggest decision to make is who are you going to be? You could be a Trailblazer who creates their own videos. For Trailblazers, it's important to build up a knowledge base in creating and editing videos. Check out some of my resources about Being a Trailblazer
Making videos is not for everyone. Thankfully the flipped learning community is so awesome that many teachers and organizations have posted videos online to anyone to share with their students. So, you could just find some Flipping Friends to reuse their videos for your class. Check here to get acquainted with some Flipping Friends in a variety of different subject areas. |
There are many different models that you could follow to help you flip your classroom. I think that an important element is to look at how your students respond to different models. I've experimented with different models and equated the student responses to some familiar characters. Click here to explore a Prezi that I put together matching students with flipped classroom models.
